Rebecca & Adam at Inglenook Farm, Rainford

Adam & Rebecca Pratt

Inglenook Farm is best known for its stunning Lavender fields. During May-July the Lavender blooms and the aroma fills the countryside, the farm is also home to shops, tearooms and is a great place to walk your furry friend. Working with Betty's Tipis, Inglenook hosts stunning weddings all year round. The wonderful Tipis have a pathway situated in the grounds of the Farm to a secluded corner of a 2-acre field. The farm also hosts a range of events including monthly Artisan Markets with a wide range of fabulous stallholders. Inglenook is a truly chic and stunning place!

Its very rare we meet a couple who are so similar to us, and they even took it a step further by having the SAME NAMES! The lead up to the big day was a bag of laughs with regular messaging and what should of been a quick consultation, turned into over an hour of funny stories and illegal Parking fines (on our behalf i’ll add!) The day itself hit it off with glorious weather and thankfully a lot of deodorant was used that morning, as it was HAWT AS SHEET!

The ceremony took place at Preston Registry Office, we always get to the wedding venues way to early but it’s to scout the area and have a look around for good angles and great places to take some awesome images etc. Surprisingly it wasn’t long before we were met by Adam and his groomsmen, who were a top group of lads and all looked as sharp as a tack. Rocking a beige checked blazer and waistcoat with black trousers and Adam rocking the full beige matching suit jacket and trousers, each one would have won ‘best dressed’ at Aintree. The arrival of Rebecca was stunning and she looked absolutely amazing! she had the biggest smile I think we have ever seen….. Simply Beautiful! The ceremony itself was very moving and very family filled although little Oliver stole the show shouting objections when the registrar asked if anyone present knows any reasons why this couple should not be married. Oliver is a typical little boy and as you can imagine it obviously got a lot of laughs and a little scorn from mum which was brilliant. Oliver did retract on his objection though as he was the ring bearer for his mum and dad, it was such a beautiful moment to capture with Oliver handing over the rings.

Shortly after the ceremony we captured some family images outside and let everyone gather and give their congratulations to Adam & Rebecca and then we headed off to Inglenook. We only live down the road from this stunning venue and have always seen the farm when we head off on our adventures but we have never actually visited so we didn’t really know what to expect. We now know and the only word for it is STUNNING! The whole farm has this modern yet vintage vibe about it, with little cute shops and an atmosphere that really shows the owners love this place. Moving through the farm we headed up to the tipis. These are honestly the best and as photographers we were unsure as to how they would work for lighting but.….it actually worked out really well! The vibe the tipi’s give off just screams festivals and boho, it simply just works. Outdoor weddings have this feeling of absolute joy and excitement, everyone is just bouncing and loving life. You can truly see that the owner of Betty’s Tipi’s (Jack) really does put his all into making these special, as it was faultless and all the staff were polite and caring all day long. Adam took a phone call with jack in the months leading up to the big day and the guy is probably one of the most chilled and funny people he has had the pleasure of speaking too. Proper northerner like us so the dry sense of humour is next level.

Adam & Rebecca arrived at the Tipi’s in their vintage 1950’s Bentley and we managed to capture some lovely shots BUT something still bothers Adam to this day. The driver asked if we wanted the roof off to capture some images, in which we of course said yes too. He then asked Adam to help him so they unclipped, unrolled, and lifted of this lovely canvas roof, we took a few shots for than 3 mins if that, and then we carried on documenting the day. 1hr later and the poor guy is still trying to put the roof back on….alone. Adam genuinely felt so bad that he never helped but we were busy and didn’t have much choice…honest!

To sign off we would both like to say a huge thank you to Adam and Rebecca for letting us be a part of your day! The most fun, friendly, rock and roll couple we have had the pleasure of capturing. We wish you nothing but happiness and hope you have the most amazing life together. We are proud to not just call you clients but friends now!
