Stephanie & Tonys wedding at Liverpool Cricket Club

Stephanie & Anthony

Liverpool Cricket Club is an historic club that offers the chance to watch or play seven different sports, and is a thriving social venue to meet with friends. It’s also the perfect location for your special event – with a range of spaces available for hire where you can enjoy spectacular views of the grounds.

From our first point of contact with Stephanie and Anthony we knew it would be a memorable day to capture. Scousers have this incredible way of putting you at ease and are so family oriented its extremely humbling. All day we were looked after by not just Stephanie and Anthony but all their friends and family. I think we spoke to pretty much everyone at least once and each time we were asked if we needed anything, drinks, food etc the level of hospitality was unmatchable.

Bridal prep took place at the Shankly Hotel, this place is incredible in itself with stunning decor and good sized rooms. Within 10 mins of setting up Adam was already in bad books as he told Amelia (one of their little girls) to keep jumping across the beds so we could capture a fun and crazy image of her being a typical little one and having fun! Unfortunately she knocked a glass over which mum wasn’t too impressed with and he had to own up and take the blame! it was all for the greater good though so don’t judge. We dont often break items in places we visit… honest!

The ceremony took place at Liverpool Cricket Club, upon arrival we were greeted by Steve the toastmaster who gave us a quick guided tour and asked if we need anything to give him a shout and he would help as best as possible. Anthony was waiting patiently and looked as sharp as a tack holding his baby girl in his arms. It was very touching watching the love between them. This was how both Stephanie and Anthony were all day, no matter how much money had been spent making it perfect, no matter how big the moment was throughout the day, their children came first no matter what. It was beautiful to watch them be bride and groom, newly married husband and wife and then straight back to MUM and DAD.

The Ceremony was beautiful with an incredible live singer who blew the roof off with her voice although it was little Sonny who stole the show donning a top security ring-bearer briefcase. He really did take his job seriously, he was such a laidback, cool and funny little boy. We actually spent time speaking and playing with all the kids later on whilst everyone ate, they were all super polite but hilarious with some of the things they came out with. After the ceremony we captured some group images and then on to Stephanie and Anthonys couple images after these images were over we then let them carry on their day whilst we documented all those other precious moments. In all the weddings we have done we have never stopped and had to dry our eyes, but that was the case at the speeches! not emotional tears but crying laughing tears! Anthonys dad’s speech had the whole room in fits to the point we were struggling to focus our next shot as our eyes were filled with water. All the speeches were fantastic, both emotional and funny just what every good wedding needs!

As the evening approached there were magicians, face painters, and live music. The saying go big or go home really was the case and that went one step further when the first dance had pyrotechnics! the whole day and night was amazing and honestly it couldn’t of been for a more amazing and deserving couple. From start to finish the day went as smooth as butter, everything was perfect! We loved being a part of your day and as much as we are sure you guys want to do it all over again we would love this too! it was a very humbling and extremely special experience. We wish nothing but a long and happy marriage to you both and as always we don’t see you as client but as our friends.
